Why?
I love Star Trek and The Sopranos. I enjoy editing and mashing them together in dumb and surprising ways.

Probably some combination of autism and ADHD.
I use several different applications and tools to make these videos.
Final Cut Pro is where I select and cut the clips I need so I can assemble them into new sequences.
I use After Effects for video compositing, especially rotoscoping people and objects out of their original backgrounds and pasting them into new scenes. It is also where I do masking, object and camera tracking, stabilisation, colour correction and lighting.
Photoshop helps me clean up static backgrounds and images, removing people or objects, tweaking details, and extending parts of a scene where needed.
For audio, I use various tools to separate dialogue and music. This lets me replace music entirely in some scenes, and also create cleaner dialogue tracks for extra processing. I use neural text-to-speech models when I need to dub over specific words, and Adobe Audition is where I splice those back into the original dialogue, clean things up, and other tweaks.
I enjoy making them this way by mashing up the original shows with rotoscoping, image editing and compositing. Using generative AI for the videos wouldn’t be as fun or interesting to me and it would lose the original actors’ performances, which are such a big part of why I love these shows.
